Nevada Northern has just dropped out of the Railcamp program!!!! They will no longer hold Railcamp out in Ely.

Steamtown says it will stay in the program.

I had the worst possible day ever. Don't ask why, you don't want to know why.


In a strange line of events, we no longer have a working locomotive. All three of SRM's locomotive fleet suffered some malfunction today. Not even our Handcar would work properly.

Yah, well, mine was alright. Halloween is never my Favorite time of the year, I guess because I never really do much with it anymore. Went Ghost hunting...didn't find a thing. *shrug* oh well.

anyway, on Thursday we did the "Derail Shuffle" The deal about that is, we had to place 5 cars on track 14...but the throat to track 14 could only accommodate one car without the locomotive. Otherwise your over the derail and well...screwed. So to do this we needed two locomotives to "dance" around the car. I was the conductor for 104, who did all the dancing among the sidings, while 1026, our GP9 ran among the mainline picking up the cars and brining them to the throat. In, out, in, out, all the siding we ran about. XD being the conductor I had to think ahead three steps in each of my movements, and I was cunningly on the ground, our riding equipment.

We worked late into the night. Night time got especially dangerous when switches couldn't be seen, and I still had to move among the darkened equipment and tracks. I was issued an electric lantern, do to the fact that the oil ones where locked up inside. (shut up steamby, in a situation like that one you took what was given and didn't complain) and worked until 10:30 when the last car was in place.

anyway, I'm starting to work on getting my hours on 1026. which is good. ^^ Its not hat hard to operate once you get the hang of it.

Also special thanks to CNW4648 for giving my an N-scale 4-8-4. Its a beauty and goes a long way to enhancing my miniscule collection of N-scale equipment.

Ok, first I apologize to all my watchers and friends. Thank you for standing by me in my confused, misunderstood state.

lets just say allot of strange confusing stuff happened in the last few hours. But I've decided I am not going to "leave" DA...just I'm going to take a brake from the youth chatrooms and such. I will continue to post. Without going into too many details, the issue has been resolved, and I'm just going...take a back seat for a while.

I'm so sick of this website and what its become. Seems every time I turn around, these more sucking up, more click creating, more attacking, bulling, and just general stupidity. I'm sick of all the compotation and relations. I feel more like the art itself is no longer appreciated, and that We are all working to appease one another rather then further our style. When I found myself doing that, When I get attacked on a chatroom because I didn't know that the Milwaukee road 261 was having some issues (really, I didn't know, I just assumed everything was honky dory with her) I know its time to call it quits. Allot of my good friends are either no longer hear, or also so disgusted by the way the community has become that they have left.

so, I feel that this is the end of the line for me here on DA, I'm so sick of all the rivalry and competition. I mean, I can't put up a drawing of a simple 4-4-0 without some personal criticism.

so......farewell for now. I might keep posting some stuff, but I do not foresee allot more coming out of me in the future.
